Vienna, VA (June 9, 2021) – Southern Management Companies (Southern) announced today that it has promoted Christopher Funderburg to serve as the company’s vice president of investment and asset management. In this role, Christopher will be responsible for enhancing and executing an analytical methodology that allows Southern to identify ways to maximize value across its real estate portfolio.
Christopher was previously Southern’s director of asset management, where he worked to develop, implement and monitor strategic plans targeted at maximizing portfolio performance. He has nearly 25 years of progressive financial, investment and asset management expertise.

Christopher has a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, and a bachelor’s degree from Morehouse College.
